So, Nate and I celebrated Valentine's Day last weekend... or so I thought... I got a call bright and early this morning from my sweet fiance. It went something like this:
"Lauren, will you be my Valentine?"
"Of course!"
"There's one condition... you have to move out here and live with me."
"Ok, I can do that. Can you take my word for it for now? I'm not going to be able to move out for a couple of weeks..."
"Perfect. I just need you out here by April 30th... to use the tickets I just bought for the San Francisco Ballet!"
What a romantic of a fiance I have! So here's to our first date as a married couple in SF on our first weekend in the city.
BUT... that's not the only celebration of the holiday we had today. Nate received a package at work today! Surprise!!

ReplyDeleteGregg and I need to take lessons from you and Nate on romance. We had a lame Valentines. I was having a bad day (bad pregnancy day) and Truman was a little sick. I sent the table all red but then didn't have the energy to make dinner so Gregg did. We put Truman to bed and got in bed at about 8 and watched Bachelor. How lame are we??! (we did have some good laughs and jokes about how lame we were being) .. oh, and Gregg didn't have his wallet all day (because it was in my car) so he didn't get my anything... :)
PS - We are still madly in love - so I guess that counts for something :)
ReplyDeleteLauren! I'm reading this late but that is the most romantic-est (so not a word) thing I've ever heard. I DREAM constantly of going to the ballet sadly, Dan does not, as yet, share this dream haha! I hope you have a wonderful time! Tell Robyn congrats too on getting engaged. I have your wedding date on my calendar and I've been talking about it...well since you told me :) I can't wait to see everybody! Hope all is well
